Our Story

How did we meet: In 4th hour Photo Class our Senior year at Tolleson Union High School.

Where did you go on your first date?: Uhh?? Not Sure? Wow thats lame!! I think maybe to his moms house or out to eat????

How long have you been together: 8yrs...WOW!!

Who eats more: Jose, unless I'm pregnant, then it's a toss up.

Who said I love you first: Jose did :)

Who is taller: Jose

Who sings better: I do.

Who is smarter: Me, unless it has anything to do with a computer, then it's definetly JOSE!!

Who does the laundry: I do, I don't think Jose even know's how to turn the washing machine on :) Love you Honey!

Who does the dishes: I do...although if you saw my kitchen right now you'd say neither of us do.

Who sleeps on the right side of the bed: I do.

Who pays the bills: I do.

Who mows the lawn: Jose. He's in charge of outside. I'm in charge of inside :)

Who cooks dinner: I do. Occassionally he'll grill or make spagetti which is such a great treat and always tastee!!

Who drives when you are together: He does, unless we're in his car. He drives a small two door car and since gas is sooooooo outragious, we've been using that more and more. Anyway, to fit Lexton's carseat in the back seat, the front passenger seat has to be pushed up a bit. Jose's legs are way shorter then mine(his pant length=29in. my pant length=33in.) so he can sit there and be quite comfortable. Me on the other hand if I sit there I'm literally kissing my knees!

Who is more stubborn: Not sure. That's a tough one. I'd like to think I am, but I think he wins that one.

Who kissed who first: This is STILL up for debate. I say he did. He says I did. Go figure!

Who is more sensitive: He is. Unless I'm pregnant or post-pregnant :)

Who proposed: He did. And he did an AWESOME job!!!Totally surprised me on our three year anniversary. I went to his house all dolled up thinking we were going out. When I got there, there was a candle and a note on the front porch saying, "Do you remember our first date...blahblahblah.....I do." then I pushed open the front door and found another note and candles that lined a walkway, with notes along the way that led up the stairs. Each note started with "do you remember when".....then talked about some milestone in our relationship..and ended with "I do". The candles and notes led me to a final note on the dresser in front of the mirror, where I found my ring beneth it. And the note said something totally romantic and of course ended with me answering..."I DO!!!" (ya, this is what I mean, he's way more sensitive then I am. I never could have thought up that great of scheme :)

The cutest part is, two weeks prior I had been out of town, I think visiting family in Colorado, and he'd been secretly out ring shopping. He even had my Aunt (who also was my maid-of-honor) go to the jewelry store to give her stamp of approval before he bought it! So, he had it for two weeks and I knew nothing.

The terrible part of the story is the night before I had begged him to go out ring shopping with me "just for fun" and I totally fell in love with a ring similar to, but not the actual ring that he'd bought...AND HE STILL DIDN'T CRACK!!! (this is an example of his stubborness). Poor guy..there he was in a ring store with me, I'm dropping hints left and right on all these rings and for him to pop the question already, when in fact he had this master plan of asking me the next day and already had the ring bought and paid for!!!!! What a jerk I am! I still can't believe he followed through, there is no way I could have kept that big of a secret on hold for so long, and under such conditions!

Who has more siblings: I do. I'm the oldest of five, two brothers and two sisters. He has an older brother and younger sister.

Who wears the pants: He does. Though he likes to think I do. I actually think we do a pretty good job of meeting in the middle.

That was actually kinda fun and pretty easy. It's nice to write something about "us" and not feel like I'm talking about myself :) I guess that's why I usually end up talking about my kids. OK. So, I'm going to tag Kelly, Stacy, and Jodie. I'll be watching for it! Thanks Jessica for the tag!

Great job! I loved your proposal story. I would have never been able to keep that a secret. Way to go, Jose!

Wow...8 years is a long time!! :) So fun!

And don't get mad at me, but I should at least warn you...I don't do blog tags. It's just a little quirk about myself. :) But I loved reading yours!
