Tanner's Blessing

My heart is full! It has been an incredible weekend.

Last week Jose and I, while planning/preparing for Tanner's Baby blessing, both felt that we would like Grandpa Merrell to administer it, if he felt able. This weekend we went down to Duncan to visit and to do so. We all worried whether emotions, meds, or pain would make it difficult. But, Grandpa (as always) is a pillar of strength.

Though Saturday was a "not-so-good" day that ended a little rough (had a painful move getting back into bed). Sunday morning he was full of smiles, and chatter :) Sharing stories and visiting with all. You could see in Grandpa's eye's that he was feeling well today! The blessing went on without incident and was beautiful. It was such a special experience. One that I'll never forget and look forward to sharing with my little boy, Tanner Adair, when he is older.

it WAS such a special moment! grandpa did great. i'm glad we were able to make it. while it's fresh on your mind you should write a little letter/journal entry so you can show tanner someday how you felt and what was going on and how the blessing was.
